Congress Registration fees (Italian vat included)

Online registrations will be available starting from September 30, 2017.
Advance registrations are preferred in order to facilitate planning of the congress’s scientific sessions and social events. On-site registration is strongly discouraged and availability for social events is not be guaranteed.

* Application for the resident fee should be certified by a letter from the head of the department to be up-loaded in the on-line platform directly (pdf format is required), stating that the applicant is an ophthalmology resident at the time of registration. 

^ Application for special financial assistance must be made in writing to the EGS Secretariat, no later than 15 January 2018 (now closed).

Registration is mandatory for all oral and posters presenters
Instructional Courses are free of charge for participants registered in the Congress. Pre-registration is not required but attendance will be possible while seats are available.

Conference registration fees (delegate, resident in training and COT) includes:

  • Final programme and abstract book online
  • Certificate of attendance
  • CME kit
  • Coffee during breaks from 19 to 22 May
  • Lunch boxes from 19 to 21 May
  • Welcome Reception on 19 May and Farewell Reception on 22 May
  • Admission to the technical exhibition

Registration fee for exhibitors includes:

VISA Information

For some nationalities, a Visa is required in order to enter Italy.
Foreign participants should contact the Italian Embassy or Consulate in their home country to determine their particular Visa requirements.

Participants requiring Visas should initiate the application process at least 3 months prior to their departure date.

The Organising Secretariat OIC is not able assist participants with their Visa application and cannot intervene with Embassies or Consulates on behalf of any participant.

Letter of Invitation (for Visa Application)

To request a Visa invitation letter please send an e-mail to OIC at

Only participants fully registered in the congress can obtain a personal invitation letter and only once the full payment of the registration fee is received.

Relevant expenses for hardcopy of the invitation letter sent by express courier must be paid the in advance.

Please note that the Visa invitation letter only aims at assisting participants who need to obtain a Visa or permission to attend the Congress and it is not a commitment from the organisers to cover any kind of expenses or to provide any financial support. All expenses incurred in relation to the conference remain the sole responsibility of the participant.

Group Registrations

  • Group registration is possible for companies or travel agencies wishing to register more than 5 delegates.
  • INDIVIDUAL EMAIL ADDRESS OF EACH PARTICIPANT IS MANDATORY INFORMATION. The e-mail address of the sponsoring company will not be accepted.
  • It is not possible to register an accompanying person without a delegate.

How to make a Group Registration

In order to facilitate your group registration please download the “Group Registration Forms” and return all the documents duly filled in and signed, together with the proof of payment to:

To benefit from the early registration fees, please forward us the payment with the signed contract before 9 March, 2018 - the date of the receipt of the bank transfer will define the registration fee. After this date the early fees cannot be considered valid anymore with no exception and the higher price will be applied.

After 20 April 2018, the on site fees will be applied for registrations not paid in full at the previous dead-line.

Core registrations can be accepted without name list until 20 April 2018 if paid in full, according to the published registration deadlines.
After the set indicated deadline the complete name list is required.
The name list must be sent as an attachment by e-mail only (fax not accepted).

Collective pick-up (by a representative of your company/travel agency)

The opportunity of picking up your delegates' congress documents prior the official opening will be offered in order to facilitate the pre-registration procedure. We strongly suggest you to contact the OIC srl Registration Department 3-4 weeks before the congress and schedule an appointment accordingly.

If no appointment has been made only individual pick-up (by the delegate) will be possible at the pre-registration desk after the official opening of the congress.
However, group pick-up will be allowed only to companies/agencies who have sent the all mandatory data for each participant.

Terms of Payment

Please note that your registration cannot be processed without payment. Please submit your payment information together with the completed registration form. You may pay by credit card or bank transfer (see details below). We strongly encourage online registration (credit card payment only).

Cancellation and Refunds

Any change or cancellation in connection with registration fees and social events must be made in writing to O.I.C. srl, Fax +39 055 5035230, E-mail:

  • For cancellations received by April 20 2018, the paid amount will be refunded with a deduction of 70% that will be invoiced as penalty.
  • No refund will be processed for cancellations received after April 20 2018.

Should you have any special requests for the processing of your invoice, kindly let us know while submitting your application.

  • Offline registrations and requests of pro-forma invoices sent by fax or mail are subject to an additional € 30 administration charge.
  • Any modification on VAT number or billing address, requested after the issuing of the invoice incurs a € 30 administration charge.
  • Name changes incur a handling fee of € 39 per registration.
